First things first - a visit to Andechs where the monks brew John's favorite beer and roast the best Schweinshaxn in the whole world. It was the traditional birthday present from my parents to John. Niklas loves Tante Vroni!
Opa, Oma, John and Niklas on a walk along the Starnberger See. John said he would buy me a Villa on the shore - I'm still waiting...
We started another walk straight from my (Andrea's) parents house:
John got a cold and gave it to Niklas. Niklas was sick for at least 10 days. He was very weak, whined a lot and slept for the most part of the day. Here Niklas takes a nap on Opa.
Another walk from my parents house with Christian und Vroni:
My parent's yard.
Schloss Fussberg (castle) and the Wuerm (creek through Gauting) across from my parent's home.
Niklas' great-grandma went through great efforts to meet him. She is 92 and came all the way from Lasberg/Austria to meet Niklas!!! We were so happy to see her! Unfortunately Niklas was very sick that day and we were sleep deprived.
Finally Niklas gets to sleep on Oma again!
Christmas Eve with real candles on the tree! Oma, Vroni and Andrea (with Niklas in the Moby) decorated the tree on the 23rd while John and Opa went out to drink beer.
Christmas Day - of course we celebrate it all. Oma made a delicious turkey meal - the bird came fresh from their organic farmer.
Even though Niklas is still sick, he enjoys playing with Opa - here he is riding the ferris wheel.
Here we are joking around.
Look - Herr Frosch got new pants for Christmas! Danke Tante Martina!
Walk along the Wuerm to the restaurant.

Watch out John!

Oma knows that Niklas loves lights.

New Stats / Neue Statistik
We had our 4 month check up today. Niklas is actually 4.5 months old. Everything is great. Even though Niklas is somewhat skinny, there is no reason to worry. Niklas already doubled his birth weight (on average that happens around 6 months). Here are the stats:
Weight:
13 lbs 6 oz / 6070 g
10th percentile
Height:
26.25 in / 67 cm
75th percentile
Head Circumference:
16.7 in / 42.5 cm
(50th percentile)
Niklas is keeping track of our loved ones around the world.

Thank you for this awesome toy auntie Jo Anne! Look - now I can hold it all by myself. I love touching the surfaces and talking to the little kids on the pictures!
